Decypharr is a self-hosted, open-source media gateway for Debrid services and Usenet. It exposes mock qBittorrent and SABnzbd APIs so *Arr applications like Sonarr and Radarr can manage and stream media directly, without a separate download client.

### How should Sonarr or Radarr send requests to Decypharr?

Sonarr and Radarr send torrents or NZB files to Decypharr. It then forwards torrents to a Debrid provider or processes NZBs via direct NNTP connection.

### Which port should I expose for the Decypharr web UI?

Open port 8282 for the web UI. If your firewall blocks it, the site will not load even if the app container is running.

### What Docker settings are needed for internal FUSE mounting?

Set PUID/PGID to match your host user and keep /dev/fuse, SYS_ADMIN, and apparmor:unconfined in the Docker settings. Without these, mounting and file repairs can fail with permission errors.

### How can I access Decypharr files from my media server?

Decypharr can mount remote files using DFS, Rclone, or serve them via WebDAV. This makes them appear as a local filesystem for direct streaming.

### Why might Decypharr refuse to start after switching container tags?

If you move to a newer tag and then back, the database in your data directory can use a newer format. The newer build upgrades it on first start, and older builds refuse the new format, so upgrade Decypharr.

Enable it for stable providers when you want fully automated operation, knowing the sweep can delete broken Arr file records and trigger a search. Disable it while testing the health checker on a new library.
