## Common questions

### What port should the Wyoming Piper server use for Home Assistant?

The Home Assistant example listens on port 10200.

### Which directories do the run examples use for Piper data and downloads?

The examples pass --data-dir and --download-dir, such as /data.

### Why might a voice be missing from the advertised Piper voices?

Voices that require an uninstalled phonemizer are not advertised. The voice reappears once the required extra is installed.

### How do I enable the experimental OmniVoice backend?

Install the OmniVoice dependencies, select --backend omnivoice, and point --omnivoice-ref-dir at a directory organized by language and voice.
