## Common questions

### Why are raw email messages no longer saved by default?

Since release 2305.1.0, MailgunLogger no longer saves raw message data because it put too much stress on the database. Setting store_message to true requires an AWS configuration and stores the raw messages in an S3 bucket.

### Do I need to migrate my database from MySQL to PostgreSQL?

Since version 2302.1.0, MailgunLogger uses PostgreSQL instead of MySQL. The deprecated stored_message column is scheduled for removal through a future migration.

### Why does MailgunLogger only retrieve the last two days of Mailgun events?

MailgunLogger retrieves events for the last two days, while free Mailgun accounts keep up to three days of events. It inserts only new events because some Mailgun events may not be immediately available after they occur.
