## Common questions

### What file permissions does WGDashboard need to see existing WireGuard tunnels?

Run `sudo chmod -R 755 /etc/wireguard` after installing so WGDashboard can read the settings. If these permissions are wrong, the dashboard may not show your tunnels or clients.

### Why can WireGuard clients connect but not reach the internet or homelab?

Enable IPv4 forwarding by adding `net.ipv4.ip_forward=1` to `/etc/sysctl.conf` and running `sudo sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf`. Without IP forwarding, devices may connect but not pass traffic.

### What port should be opened for the WGDashboard web UI?

The dashboard service runs on port 10086. Open TCP 10086 in your router or firewall if you want to reach it from outside.

### Should I update if I am running WGDashboard v4.2.x on the public internet?

Yes, update to the latest release immediately. The warning specifically tells public internet users running v4.2.x or later to update now.

### Does WGDashboard support AmneziaWG?
