## Common questions

### Can proxied RTSP cameras appear in the same UniFi Protect UI and mobile app?

Yes, the project enables RTSP-enabled cameras to be used in the same UI and mobile app as other UniFi devices.

### Has UniFi Cam Proxy stayed compatible with newer UniFi Protect releases?

A Home Assistant post reports the project has been broken with newer Protect versions and that the Docker image was outdated.

### How do I create the client certificate required for a proxied camera?

Copy server.pem from an existing UniFi camera to client.pem, or generate one via openssl with CN=camera.ubnt.dev. Place it as client.pem in the config folder, such as /mnt/user/appdata/unifi-cam-proxy.
