## Common questions

### How can I keep Watchlistarr settings from being lost when the Docker container is rebuilt?

Use the -v config:/app/config flag to mount a Docker volume for Watchlistarr settings. If you omit it, the auto-created config.yaml and any changes are lost when the container is rebuilt.

### Which API keys and token must be passed to Watchlistarr in Docker?

Provide Sonarr and Radarr API keys and a Plex token in the Docker run command. Without them, Watchlistarr cannot add Plex watchlist items to Sonarr or Radarr.

### What should I change if my Sonarr instance is not on the default address?

Set baseUrl in config.yaml to the full Sonarr address, including the port and base path if they are not the default. If the address is wrong, Watchlistarr cannot reach Sonarr and series will not be added.

### Does Watchlistarr delete Sonarr or Radarr entries when a Plex watchlist item is removed?

Yes, but it is disabled by default. When enabled, Watchlistarr can detect removals from the watchlist and delete the corresponding content from Sonarr or Radarr.

### Do Plex friends need to set up Watchlistarr or provide their own token?

No. Friends do not need to set anything up, and Watchlistarr uses the main user's Plex token to determine what they have watchlisted.

### Can Maintainerr and Watchlistarr cause a removed file to be re-added?

They can conflict. Watchlistarr may add a file back after Maintainerr removes it if the item is still present in the Plex watchlist.
