## Description

FlareSolverr is a lightweight Docker proxy that solves Cloudflare protection challenges on your behalf. When a request arrives, it launches a headless Chrome browser using Selenium and undetected-chromedriver, loads the target URL with your parameters, and waits until the challenge is solved or a timeout occurs. The resulting HTML and cookies are returned so your other containers and downloaders can reuse them to reach Cloudflare-protected pages. Because it idles with minimal resource use between requests, it suits homelab setups that need occasional bot-protection bypass without a permanently running browser.

## Common questions

### What network settings should be checked when FlareSolverr requests fail?

Disable or remove any proxy or VPN for FlareSolverr and the request source, disable IPv6 on the host or relevant Docker containers, and if using Docker keep relevant containers on the host network.

### Can a Docker networking bug make NZBGet pick up FlareSolverr's port assignments?

Yes, one report describes NZBGet picking up FlareSolverr's port assignments, and repeated container resets sometimes correct the state.

### Can Docker or FlareSolverr updates break previously working requests?

Yes, users have reported failures after a Docker update or a FlareSolverr update, and some websites are incompatible with FlareSolverr.

### Why would a user pull FlareSolverr from source instead of using the compiled version?

A user found the compiled version could not be patched, so they switched to pulling from source to install changes.
