## Description

WS-Ephemeral is a self-hosted container that automatically renews the ephemeral UDP port provided by Windscribe VPN. It re-opens the port on a weekly schedule so peer-to-peer applications behind the VPN stay reachable after the port's default seven-day expiry, saving Windscribe users the effort of repeating the setup by hand. Left at its default weekly pace it stays within Windscribe's acceptable usage, since more aggressive scheduling risks a temporary account suspension and upstream changes to Windscribe's site can occasionally break the tool.

It deletes the existing ephemeral port setting, if any, and sets a new one.

### Can it also change peer-discovery settings?

It can optionally disable DHT/PEX/LSD.

### Is it suitable for torrent applications behind Windscribe?

It is designed for users running torrent applications behind Windscribe VPN who need dynamic port forwarding.
