## Common questions

### Will this x86 container get newer UniFi Protect releases?

No, it is fixed to Protect 1.13.3 and the project will not supply further x86 updates because UniFi stopped publishing AMD64 binaries.

### What Docker networking mode should I use?

Run the container in host networking mode, or use a custom br0 bridge if other services already occupy those ports via host mode; plain bridge mode does not work.

### Do I need to set a memory limit?

Yes, otherwise the container will use all of your RAM over time; the example uses a 2048m limit.

### What Docker mounts are recommended for Protect data?

Mount /var/lib/postgresql/10/main and /srv/unifi-protect as Docker volumes, and use tmpfs for /srv/unifi-protect/temp.

### How do I pair cameras with the self-hosted console?

Install UniFi Protect mobile app 1.3.8 and connect to the console through UniFi Cloud.
