## Common questions

### Should pyTivo run in Docker host mode or bridge mode?

Use host mode for maximum flexibility on file transfers. If you do not need to push files, bridge mode is acceptable.

### How do I tell pyTivo which TiVo to look for?

In Global Server Settings, set the beacon to the TiVo IP address followed by listen, for example 192.168.1.5 listen.

### What do I need for pushing files from pyTivo to a TiVo?

Set tivo_username and tivo_password if you want to push files. Push requests go through Tivo.com servers, so there may be a random delay before the transfer starts.
