It needs a direct internet connection or the UDP port used by magneticod to be forwarded. The port is randomly selected at each magneticod invocation, so the forwarded port may change. ### How should I configure the database before first start? Choose SQLite or PostgreSQL and pass the matching --database flag. For SQLite mount the data folder to /data, and for PostgreSQL create the magnetico user and database and enable pg_trgm first. ### Should I add authentication if I expose the web UI to other machines? Yes. Generate a username and password hash with htpasswd and use it for password protection before letting anyone beyond your own computer use Magnetico. ### Will the search database be populated immediately?
