## Description

Activepieces is a self-hosted, open-source no-code workflow automation platform. It connects applications and APIs with visual flows, triggers, schedules, and reusable pieces, and can be extended with strongly typed TypeScript code. It is for homelab users, developers, and IT teams who need Zapier-like automation without sending data to a third-party cloud. Use it to centralize repetitive task automation while keeping control of data and integrations.

## Common questions

### What should I do if port 8080 is already in use for the Docker install?

Change the port mapping and update AP_FRONTEND_URL to match the new web address. If AP_FRONTEND_URL is not updated, the web interface may not load.

### Where should I back up Activepieces data in the Docker install?

Back up the ~/.activepieces folder on the machine running the container. Deleting that folder can remove stored application data and settings.

### Does the quick install script finish all required setup steps?

Not by itself. After running the installer, follow the self-hosting documentation because the installer alone may not complete all setup steps.

### Can I migrate from the single-container hobby install to Enterprise later?

No. The single-container install uses an embedded database, cannot scale, and cannot move to Enterprise; moving off it means starting over.
