## Common questions

### How do I install or remove the Localtonet client from the GitHub repository?

Clone the repository, then make install.sh executable and run it with the -r flag. To uninstall, make uninstall.sh executable and run it with the -r flag.

### Why does Localtonet reject requests or fail to create tunnels at startup?

Replace YOUR_API_KEY or YOUR_SECRET_TOKEN with your own LocalToNet API key. Without a valid key, the service cannot identify your account and will not connect or create tunnels.

### Can Localtonet expose non-HTTP services such as databases, SSH, RDP, or game servers?

TCP tunnels are intended for databases, SSH, RDP, mail relays, and custom apps. UDP tunnels are for game servers and real-time datastreams, and TLS tunnels cover encrypted TCP traffic.

### How can I limit which clients can reach a public Localtonet tunnel?

You can use IP whitelisting and allow or block IP ranges. It also supports country-based filtering, real-time IP logging, and automatic threat blocking.
