## Common questions

### How are ports and environment variables set up in the Docker Compose example?

Map the main service with 1282:3000 and the content service with 1288:3500. Set HOST_IP, APPLICATION_PORT, and CONTENT_PORT to match your host network and exposed ports.

### Where are the database and downloaded media stored?

Use Docker volumes: db-data is mounted at /app/database/db for the database, and content-data is mounted at /app/content for downloaded content. The content volume is also mounted into the content service at /content.

### Which source domains are supported for adding channels, playlists, and videos?

The README currently lists only youtube.com as a supported domain.

### Why might the UI feel slow when adding a channel or playlist?

It first uses yt-dlp to fetch video metadata and thumbnails before starting the download. This can take noticeable time, especially for channels or playlists.
