## Description

Seerr is a self-hosted request management and media discovery app for Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby. It lets people browse available movies and series and submit requests that can be routed to downloaders such as Sonarr and Radarr. It is aimed at home-lab users who want to share a media library with friends or family. It keeps requests visible and auditable without giving requesters direct access to your media server or downloaders.

## Common questions

### Where should Seerr's config be stored in Docker?

Keep its app data in a saved volume or folder on the server, not only inside the container. Otherwise, deleting or recreating the container can wipe settings and requests.

### Do I have to complete Seerr's first-run setup before using other pages?

Yes, finish the setup/initialization page first so Seerr can save basic settings. Skipping it can leave Seerr stuck on setup.

### Which databases can Seerr use?

Seerr supports PostgreSQL and SQLite databases.

### How can I restore admin privileges after restoring Seerr settings?

Start Seerr to force the setup page, complete setup with the same login details and skip service setup, then stop it, restore the backed-up settings.json, and start it again.
