## Common questions

### What port does LazyLibrarian use by default?

It runs by default on port 5299 on the local host.

### How should I update LazyLibrarian if I installed it from a package?

Use your package manager to update it. Auto updates through the interface are available for git and source installs, and some Docker images.

### Where should I put LazyLibrarian's settings folder in a container?

Point it at a stable settings folder, often /config, and back it up regularly. Losing or overwriting that folder can make your library settings and saved data disappear.

### Why might comic or archive conversion fail in LazyLibrarian?

Ghostscript may be needed to convert or process some comic and archive files. If conversions fail, install or replace it with a supported version.

### What Calibre layout does LazyLibrarian's AutoAdd feature need?

It needs books in a flattened directory structure. Alternatively, use calibredb to import books into an existing Calibre library.
