## Common questions

### How can I install Glances so optional features are included?

Install pipx first, then run pipx install 'glances[all]'. The [all] extra adds optional features that are otherwise easy to miss.

### How do I view Glances data from a remote machine?

Run glances -s on the machine you want to monitor, then run glances -c @server on the viewer. Replace server with the monitored host's IP or name; without a running -s server, the client has no data to connect to.

### How do I secure a Glances MCP endpoint?

Enable MCP with glances -w --enable-mcp --username and create a username/password pair when prompted. Without a password, that endpoint may be open to others.

### Where should I go for help with Glances problems?

The Glances Users Google Group is a Q&A forum for posting questions and problems about Glances. It asks users to check the manual and search before posting.
