## Common questions

### How do I limit the number of files in a SFTPGo virtual folder?

Use the quota_files property for the virtual folder. A value of 0 means unlimited files, while -1 includes the file count in the user quota.

### What do I need configured before enabling Authy two-factor login?

Set the AUTHY_API_KEY environment variable before starting SFTPGo. Without it, SFTPGo cannot verify one-time codes and valid logins can fail.

### What can block imported Unix users from accessing their SFTPGo folders?

If the imported UIDs/GIDs do not match the folders on disk, new SFTPGo accounts may be blocked by file permissions. Use the minimum UID filter and force UIDs/GIDs that match the folders on disk. The import also needs root privileges to read the /etc/shadow file.

### In an outside-LAN setup, is NGINX Proxy Manager expected to interfere with SFTPGo?

The post says it should not interfere because it is supposed to handle only HTTP type requests. The remote client example connected directly to the external IP and used port 2022 for SFTP.
