## Common questions

### What should I do now that Overseerr is being superseded?

Overseerr will no longer receive new features or major updates because it is being replaced by Seerr. Migrating to Seerr is recommended for continued support and development.

### Why can I not open Overseerr in a browser even though it is running?

Check the Overseerr logs for the port it starts on, such as 5055, and make sure that port is opened or mapped. If the port is blocked, the app can be running but the setup page and login cannot be reached.

### Why does Overseerr remain on the setup page?

You must complete the first-run setup and create the main account before the rest of the app is available. Until the app is marked initialized, it can stay stuck on the setup page.

### Why does Overseerr not see my library or send requests to Radarr and Sonarr?

Add the Plex server URL and API key, plus Radarr and Sonarr entries with their API keys, in settings. Without these connections, Overseerr cannot see your library or trigger new movie and TV show downloads.

### Why does Overseerr work locally but not after a server upgrade with Nginx Proxy Manager?

A server upgrade and restart can leave Nginx Proxy Manager stopped, making Overseerr unreachable over the web. The report notes Overseerr still works fine locally.
