Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Install Unit and the modules you need On Debian/Ubuntu, run the setup-unit repo-config command first, then install unit plus any language modules you want, such as unit-python3.12. If you skip the module for your app, Unit may start but will not be able to run that app. source
- Create a first test page After a native install on Debian/Ubuntu, run setup-unit welcome to write a basic configuration that serves a welcome page. This gives you an easy check that Unit is working before you add your real app. source
- Keep Docker mounts and networking right If you use Docker, mount a folder such as /tmp/unit-control to /var/run for the control socket, mount your app folder to /www, and include --network host. Without those mounts, Unit may not see your files or accept management commands. source
- Upstream status The upstream repository is archived; no further development is expected and security vulnerabilities may go unaddressed, so install the latest available release. source
