## Common questions

### How do I install Apprise so the CLI can send notifications?

Run pip install apprise to get the apprise command line tool. Without it, you cannot run apprise or send any notifications.

### Where do I put the service endpoints for Apprise notifications?

Create an Apprise config file with the notification URLs for each service you want to use. Apprise uses these URLs to decide where and how to deliver messages, so missing or wrong ones mean alerts never arrive.

### What extra package do I need before notifying an MQTT broker?

If you plan to notify an MQTT broker, run pip install 'paho-mqtt<2.0' first. Apprise needs this specific MQTT library to talk to your broker, and newer versions may break it.

### Can I manage Apprise from an Android phone?

Apprise Mobile can connect to your self-hosted Apprise API Server from Android. You can send notifications, manage services, and review delivery results from it.
