## Common questions

### What should I set in the 7 Days to Die Docker container so it does not stop during installation?

Set START_MODE before starting the container. Use 1 to start the server or 0 to install and stop, because the wrong mode can leave the container stopped.

### How do I avoid permission errors on 7 Days to Die save files in Docker?

Set PUID and PGID to the same user and group IDs as your computer user. Without this, files can be owned by the wrong user and access to saves can fail.
