## Description

yt-dlp on a timer: polls three link lists (audio only, channels, playlists) and downloads new videos with yt-dlp and ffmpeg. A small web UI edits the lists, starts single downloads and shows the logs. A hotfolder converts dropped video files to mp3. For YouTube, put exported browser cookies into /config/ytdlpconfig/cookies.txt (see the project README).

## Common questions

### What folders should I mount for TDLD and where are the download lists stored?

Map a folder to /config and another to /downloads. The download lists are in /config/lists as audioonly, channels, and playlists list files, one URL per line.

### What port is the TDLD web UI on and what can it do?

The web UI runs on port 8083. It lets you edit the link lists, start a single download, and read the logs.

### How do I reduce YouTube "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" errors?

Put your YouTube cookies in /config/ytdlpconfig/cookies.txt. The image also uses quickjs to handle YouTube JS challenges automatically, but cookies are the important manual mitigation.

### How does the TDLD hotfolder work?

TDLD watches /hotfolder and converts dropped video files to .mp3 on a timer. The hotfolder contains input, output, and processed directories.

### Where does TDLD keep the records that prevent duplicate downloads?

It stores yt-dlp download archives in /config/archives so content is not downloaded twice.
