## Common questions

### Why can’t Karakeep find Ollama when both are running in Docker?

localhost inside the Karakeep container refers to the container itself, not the Docker host. Set OLLAMA_BASE_URL to the actual Ollama address and ensure both containers are on the same Docker network.

### Can Karakeep import bookmarks from other tools?

Yes, it includes importers for Chrome, Pocket, Linkwarden, Omnivore, and Tab Session Manager.

### Can Karakeep automatically keep in sync with browser bookmarks?

Yes, automatic sync with browser bookmarks is supported through Floccus.

### How does Karakeep reduce the risk of saved links breaking later?

It can perform full-page archival with monolith and automatically archive videos with yt-dlp.
