Maison is a lightweight self-hosted dashboard for managing Docker apps on a single host. It is a dashboard-only reimagining of CasaOS: same look, same feel, same app store — but stripped down to a home screen for your apps and a store to install more. Ships as one container: a Go binary with Svelte UI, no database required.

### Does Maison have built-in authentication or SSO?

No, Maison has no login screen by design. It assumes it is behind a trusted boundary such as a LAN, VPN, or authenticating proxy. Never expose port 8080 directly to the internet.

### How do I make installed apps bind-mount the correct host directories?

Set DATA_ROOT to the in-container data path and DATA_HOST_PATH to the actual host path. Bind that same host path to /DATA so the host Docker daemon resolves app mounts correctly.

### Can Maison install apps from the CasaOS App Store?

Yes, it is 100% compatible with the CasaOS App Store format. The same store zip used by casa-img can be used unchanged.
