## Common questions

### Can I control Soundcraft actions from outside the GUI?

Yes. Soundcraft is fully scriptable from the command line and can also be driven by an AI agent.

### Does it support third-party audio plugins?

Yes. It supports CLAP, VST3, and Audio Units plugins, saves plugin state in the session, and creates plugin instances off the audio thread.

### Can I use a browser build instead of installing a desktop app?

Yes. There is a WebAssembly build that runs in the browser, in addition to signed desktop builds.

### Can I import or export MIDI data?

Yes. It supports Standard MIDI File import and export, and it can export MusicXML from the score editor.

### Which video codecs can the picture track decode?

It decodes H.264, ProRes, and Motion JPEG in pure Rust, with timecode burn-in and sync offset.
