### Can Euro-Office be run without a storage platform?

No, it is not a standalone application. It requires a compatible storage backend such as Nextcloud to provide storage for documents.

### What does USE_UNAUTHORIZED_STORAGE=true do to outbound storage connections?

It sets rejectUnauthorized to false for every outbound HTTPS connection. The storage server certificate chain, hostname, and expiry date are no longer checked, allowing network-path impersonation.

### Why might Euro-Office take about 90 seconds to restart or fail?

A non-clean database shutdown can cause restart delays or failures. Logs may show the database system was interrupted, pointing to the database not shutting down cleanly.

### Where does the Nextcloud app send documents for editing?

The Nextcloud app talks to a separate document server component called Euro-Office Docs. That component is the web-based document editor side of the setup.
