## Common questions

### Does ihasmail need its own database or separate backup?

No. It keeps nothing of its own; mail, calendars, contacts, files and filters remain in Stalwart, where the server backups already are.

### Can I set up ihasmail and a new Stalwart mail server in one step?

Yes. The docs describe ihasmail-oneshot as setting up Stalwart and ihasmail together in one command. The Installing page also says you can go from nothing to signed in in about ten minutes with Docker.

### Is there a Stalwart migration tool in the docs?

Yes. The documentation lists a stalwart-migrator page under the Installing section.

### Can admins manage server accounts and tenants from ihasmail?

Yes. The documentation’s Settings area includes an Administration section for accounts, groups, lists, tenants, roles and domains.
