## Common questions

### Will paired devices keep working if I migrate from the original t0bst4r Matter-Hub?

Yes. This fork is the actively maintained successor to the discontinued original, and the migration guide says paired devices will continue to work.

### Which Matter-Hub add-on channel should I install?

Most users should use the stable hamh channel from the main branch. Alpha is for early adopters, and testing is highly unstable and experimental.

### Does the Matter-Hub backup preserve the Matter identity of devices?

Yes. The built-in backup includes Matter identity data such as keypairs and fabric credentials, so controllers recognize the devices without re-commissioning.

### Why do Matter devices fail in Home Assistant?

Check that IPv6 is enabled on your local network. Many Home Assistant Matter failures are resolved by re-enabling IPv6.
