## Common questions

### How do I set the admin password in the Docker Compose setup?

Set the SMR_ADMIN_PASSWORD environment variable to at least 8 characters. If the password contains a dollar sign, write it as two dollar signs in the compose file.

### How can the app load a save from a running dedicated server?

An admin can configure the app to fetch the save through the dedicated server's HTTPS API. This requires Satisfactory version 1.0 or newer and an API token.

### Which port does the Docker example expose?

The compose example maps host port 8080 to container port 8080.

### Which volume should I use for persistent data?

Mount a host directory such as ./map-data to the container path /data.

### How do I refresh the map after the factory changes?

Use the Refresh snapshot button to fetch the current state again. Changing or refreshing the save requires the admin password.
