## Description

Claude Unraid Manager packages Claude Code as an Unraid administrator rather than a coding tool: an always-on container in which an AI assistant manages your containers, storage, virtual machines, plugins and configuration from the terminal or from your phone via Remote Control. On every start it scans your storage (ZFS, btrfs, array), containers, virtual machines, plugins, User Scripts and network, then writes a CLAUDE.md so the model knows your server; it manages containers through the Docker socket and runs host commands via a short-lived helper container, so no privileged mode is required. It ships with safe defaults (read-only boot drive, no shares mounted) and is meant to ask before it acts, but it gives the model root-equivalent access to your server, so it is aimed at experienced Unraid users who keep the permission prompts on and read them.

## Platform availability

## Common questions

### Can I use it from my phone?

Yes, it can be used from the Unraid terminal or from your phone via Remote Control.

### Does it automatically learn about my server on startup?

On every start it scans storage pools, containers, VMs, plugins, shares, and network and writes a CLAUDE.md for Claude.

### Has it been tested on non-ZFS or array setups?

It was tested on the author's two Unraid 7.3.3 ZFS pool-only servers. Arrays with data disks and parity, btrfs/XFS pools, and systems without ZFS have not been seen in action.

### Is it designed for unattended changes?

No, it is meant to be used with permission prompts on and a human reading them. Nothing is designed for unattended changes.

### Can I use it as a monitoring or alerting tool?

No, it is not a monitoring or inventory tool. The CLAUDE.md scan exists so Claude knows your system, not as a report for you.
