## Description

Storage Topology is an Unraid plugin that adds read-only Storage, Network and PCI topology pages under Tools, in System Information. It maps how your SAS storage, network hardware and PCIe devices are wired and how healthy they are, showing controllers, disk shelves, physical NICs, ports, transceivers, bonds, bridges, VLANs and the full PCIe tree, with firmware versions, per-lane link rates, temperatures and error counters so you can spot hardware issues such as firmware mismatches or degraded links. Nothing on the system is changed. Optional: storcli for Broadcom/LSI MegaRAID detail, lldpctl (LLDP plugin) for switch neighbours, mstflint for Mellanox/NVIDIA flash.

## Platform availability

## Common questions

### Does Storage Topology change any storage or network settings?

No, it presents read-only information under Tools -> System Information.

### Where are custom shelf front-panel layouts saved?

The page saves your layout choice in /boot/config/plugins/storage-topology/layouts.json.

### Do C0/C1 connector names always match the connector labels on my HBA?

No, connector names are derived from PHY numbers for each SFF-8643/8644 connector, so they may not match the labels on the card.

### How are drives that are not in a disk shelf bay shown?

They are listed as directly attached if they are on an HBA PHY, an expander PHY that no SES bay points to, or a MegaRAID controller without an enclosure or in a virtual one such as EID 252.

### Does it identify firmware versions that differ across similar components?

The firmware overview lists controller, I/O module, PSU, and drive model versions, and highlights parts of the same kind running different versions.
