## Common questions

### Which reverse proxy headers should be preserved for Nocturne?

Nocturne's web container reconstructs the browser URL from X-Forwarded-Proto and X-Forwarded-Host, falling back to Host.

### What command starts the full Nocturne stack for local Aspire development?

Run aspire start to start PostgreSQL, run database migrations, launch the API and frontend, start configured connectors, and configure the YARP gateway.

### Will apps and devices that work with Nightscout also work with Nocturne?

Yes, because Nocturne speaks the Nightscout API, so compatible Nightscout apps and devices work with it.

### What authentication does Nocturne support for API access?

Nocturne uses JWT-based authentication and supports API_SECRET.
