Canonical page: https://ourlocalhost.com/app/7094/holecraft

## Description

Open-source, offline, browser-based 3D modelling for makers. Build parts from shapes, cut holes, add fasteners, hollow and tilt models for resin printing, place support points, and export STL or 3MF, with no account and nothing sent to the internet. Designs are saved on your server. It can send a model straight to Trident, the self-hosted slicer, and its Resin tools (hollow, drain holes, supports) use Trident 0.7.0 or later. There is no login: keep it on a trusted network.

## Common questions

### Is there login or SSO for Holecraft?

No. Holecraft has no authentication, and login is still listed as future work. Keep it on a trusted network.

### Can I edit models from a phone or tablet?

Yes. The editor works from a phone's browser if you open the server's address on your home network.

### Does Holecraft keep version history of a design?

No. Designs save automatically in the library, but version history is still to come.

### Can the Linux desktop app work without internet access?

Yes. The AppImage or .deb Linux desktop app works fully offline.

### How does the OrcaSlicer 3MF export encode multicolour models?

It writes the design palette as the file's filament list and gives each object the filament number for its colour. Only generic PLA filament settings are written, not your printer or print profile.
