## Description

UGREEN LED Control is an Unraid 7 plugin that controls LEDs on UGREEN DX and DXP NAS devices. Set colour, brightness and effect for every front LED (static, breathe, pulse, rainbow, CPU temperature). In status mode the bay LEDs show disk activity, disabled or missing disks, rising SMART values, parity checks and rebuilds, spun-down disks (dimmed, off or slowly pulsing) and optionally each disk's temperature. The network LED shows traffic, only the link, or the negotiated link speed in a colour per speed (10M to 10G); the case picture draws every RJ45 port with its speed. The power LED blinks or breathes when Unraid shuts down or reboots, and shows unread Unraid alerts. Night mode, identify a bay, a compact dashboard tile, a dark or light interface, and English, German and Spanish. It talks to the LED controller over I2C without a kernel module, so Unraid updates don't break it, and it never wakes sleeping disks. Developed on a DXP6800.

## Common questions

### Does UGREEN LED Control require a kernel module or extra driver?

It talks to the LED controller over I2C without a kernel module, and it never wakes sleeping disks.

### Do LED settings survive a reboot?

Every setting saves on change and survives a reboot.

### Can the bay LEDs show live array status instead of just a fixed effect?

Status mode makes bay LEDs blink on disk activity, show disabled or missing disks, warn on rising SMART values, and indicate parity checks, rebuilds, and spun-down disks.

### How can I identify a specific bay before removing a disk?

The identify-a-bay option blinks one bay white.

### Can I see the negotiated speed of each network port?

The network LED can be coloured by link speed from 10 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, and the RJ45 ports are drawn with the speed they run at.

### Can I dim or switch off the LEDs at night?

Night mode can dim or switch off at fixed times, including across midnight.
