## Common questions

### How do I run NeutronSync as a headless container with a web interface?

Use the project's Docker image for a headless install that includes a browser interface.

### How does NeutronSync sign in to Proton Drive?

The bundled neutronsync-drive sidecar owns the Proton API session. You sign in inside NeutronSync, and the session lives in your system keyring.

### Can I sync only selected subfolders instead of whole directories?

Yes. You can exclude subfolders per sync pair, and excluded paths are never touched on Proton. You may optionally remove the local copy to free space while keeping the cloud copy.

### What happens if a sync conflict or deletion occurs?

Deletions are opt-in and recoverable, going to Proton trash or desktop trash. Conflicts keep both copies, and a missing baseline unions both sides instead of mass-deleting.

### How quickly are remote Proton Drive changes picked up?

Local folders are watched live, and remote edits arrive within seconds through Proton's change feed. A daily full check acts as a safety net.
