### How do I make Immich generate share links through the proxy?

Set the External domain in Immich's Server Settings to the public URL of the proxy. New share links generated by Immich will point at the proxy instead of the Immich host.

### Which proxy environment variables must I set during setup?

Set IMMICH_URL to the local, non-public URL of your Immich server and PUBLIC_BASE_URL to the public URL of the proxy.

### How can I verify the proxy is configured correctly?

Request the /share/healthcheck path on the proxy's public URL. It should respond once the proxy is running and reachable.

### What Cloudflare setting do I need for shared videos?

Set the /share/video/* path to Bypass Cache. Without that setting, videos may not play.

### How can I fix DNS problems when the proxy cannot resolve IMMICH_URL?

Point IMMICH_URL at Immich's IP address to skip DNS resolution entirely. Alternatively, fix the resolver to return an empty NOERROR/NODATA response instead of NXDOMAIN for a missing AAAA record.

### Does the proxy store share data or require an API key?

No. It is stateless, needs no API key, stores nothing, and only passes requests for publicly shared Immich items.
