Guide2go is a Docker-based XMLTV EPG grabber that downloads channel lineup data from the Schedule Direct service. It refreshes your EPG on a cron schedule so media servers such as Plex, Emby, and TVHeadend always have current program data. Configuration files are stored in a persistent mount, and cron options are updated automatically on container restart. It suits homelab users who want a lightweight, self-hosted EPG feed without running the grabber natively.

  • Setup and Configuration After the container first starts, create your EPG .yaml files in the mounted /guide2go folder (or copy existing ones there). Set up your Schedule Direct subscription with 'docker exec -it <container> guide2go -configure /guide2go/<epg_name>.yaml', then verify the cron jobs with 'docker exec -it <container> ./config/cronjob.sh'. Mount /config for persistent setup; only mount /TVH if you also run TV source
