How is this calculated?
A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Start the backend and agent services Run `python -m backend.dev` and `python -m agent.dev` in separate terminal windows. The backend and agent are separate pieces, and if one isn't running the app won't be able to manage containers. source
- Create a .env and set security settings Copy `.env.example` to `.env` and set values like `AGENT_SECRET`; keep `ALLOW_EXEC=false` unless you truly want the agent to run shell commands inside containers. If you leave `ALLOW_EXEC` enabled, a mistaken or bad request can run arbitrary commands in your containers. source
- Public status endpoints need a flag Set `ENABLE_PUBLIC_API=true` if you want to call `/api/public/summary`, `/api/public/health`, version, or update-check endpoints. Without it, those public status checks are disabled. source

Common questions
Do I need to run Tugtainer-Agent separately from the Tugtainer backend?
Yes. The backend and agent are separate pieces, so run them in separate terminal windows, such as python -m backend.dev and python -m agent.dev. If one isn't running, the app won't be able to manage containers.
What security settings should I configure in the agent .env?
Copy .env.example to .env and set values like AGENT_SECRET. Keep ALLOW_EXEC=false unless you truly want the agent to run shell commands inside containers. If ALLOW_EXEC is enabled, a mistaken or bad request can run arbitrary commands in containers.
Is there a known Tugtainer-Agent connection failure with HTTP 424?
Yes. A GitHub issue reports a failed connection to tugtainer-agent with HTTP 424 when using two agents after a first install. The issue notes that agents were a recent change at the time.
Can Tugtainer use agents on multiple Docker hosts?
Yes. Tugtainer is described as supporting multi-host agents, rollback, and alerts.
Does Tugtainer-Agent provide remote access to Docker hosts?
Yes. The agent part of Tugtainer provides secure remote access to Docker hosts.
