Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Run the database migration before first start Run the database migration step from the backend folder before starting Trailarr. A migration is the step that creates or updates the saved-data tables Trailarr needs; skipping it can cause startup failures or missing settings. source
  • Open port 7888 for the web UI The backend server can start on port 7888 (a network port for web traffic), so make sure that port is reachable from your browser or firewall. If it is blocked, Trailarr may be running but you will not be able to open its web page. source
  • Install FFmpeg for media jobs Install FFmpeg, a program for handling video and audio, in the location Trailarr expects for media processing. If it is missing, media-related jobs can fail even though the app starts. source
