Based on 3 of 4 factors.

How is this calculated?

A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install Node.js 22 first Install Node.js 22.x or later before running any npm install commands. If Node is missing or outdated, the nut.js installation can fail and the exporter may not start. source
  • Install the core nut.js package Run npm install @nut-tree/nut-js in your project folder. This installs the main automation library, so screen and input features have the code they need to run. source
  • Verify nut.js works with a mouse test Create and run a short script that prints your mouse position, using Node.js and tsx if needed. If it errors, the library is not installed correctly or the app may not be able to control your system. source

Common questions

What error can occur when the Watts field is populated in the exporter?

One user reported a TypeError in the Python exporter when it calculated fields['watts'] from fields['ups.load']. The report mentions omitting the Watts value while discussing the failure.

Where are open bugs reported for the script?

The project has a dedicated GitHub Issues page for the script.

Did a user report Grafana dashboard errors when using the InfluxDBv2 NUT exporter?

Yes, one user said the exporter worked but Grafana showed errors because the dashboard appeared to be for InfluxDB 1 instead of Flux.

Can I get complete NUT-to-InfluxDB Cloud steps from the Telegraf thread?

No, the thread requests high-level steps for collecting UPS NUT stats on an RPi 0 and sending them to InfluxDB Cloud and Grafana Cloud.
