Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Add cert-manager with its CRDs first If your setup uses certificates, run the cert-manager Helm chart with crds.enabled=true. Without cert-manager and its custom resource definitions (the extra Kubernetes types it needs), certificate creation can fail and secure connections may break. source
  • Set up accounting database before enabling it Enable accounting.enabled=true only after a Slurm database, such as MariaDB, is installed and configured. Without a working database, accounting has nowhere to store job records and the feature will not work. source
  • Turn on metrics for autoscaling For NodeSet autoscaling, install Prometheus and KEDA, then set controller.metrics.enabled=true and controller.metrics.serviceMonitor.enabled=true. If metrics are off, KEDA cannot read Slurm's numbers and autoscaling will not work. source
