First-install notes

  • Set public key, merchant code, and price Enter your Tabby public key and merchant code in the promo script, and set the currency and price correctly: AED and SAR use 2 decimal places, KWD uses 3. Without these values, the on-site “pay in 4” message may not appear. source
  • Add Shopify snippet near the price Place {% render 'tabby-installments' %} near the price in theme files such as product.liquid. If it is missing or too far from the price, shoppers may not see the installment option where they expect it. source
  • Use a valid mobile phone number When sending shopper details through the API, include a mobile number in a clear format, for example +971500000001. An unclear or invalid phone number can stop Tabby from offering checkout or creating a customer account. source
  • Deployment Deploy Tabby without an external database management system (DBMS) or cloud service; the service is self-contained. source
