Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Install Uvicorn so the app can serve requests Before starting the app, run `uv add "uvicorn[standard]"` to install Uvicorn, the small web server that makes the FastAPI app reachable. Without it, the app cannot start or respond to requests. source
- Add file-upload support if the app uses uploads If the app accepts file uploads or web forms, run `uv add python-multipart` before starting it. This package lets FastAPI understand multipart/form-data, the format browsers use for file and form submissions; without it, those uploads may fail. source

Common questions
How do I start FastAPI-DLS as a service and apply configuration?
Start it with systemctl start fastapi-dls.service and enable autostart with systemctl enable fastapi-dls.service. Then edit /etc/fastapi-dls/env as needed.
Does using FastAPI-DLS affect NVIDIA license compliance?
Using FastAPI-DLS can circumvent NVIDIA’s license server. A Proxmox forum post warns that this may breach licensing conditions.
Does FastAPI-DLS eliminate the low-resolution headless display issue on Tesla P4?
The source does not confirm that it removes the issue. It reports a headless Tesla P4 can remain stuck at low resolution, with limits even using grid license workarounds.
Does the service require Uvicorn to run?
Install Uvicorn before starting the app. Without it, the FastAPI app cannot start or respond to requests.
