Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Install Limnoria and start the wizard On Debian or Ubuntu, install Python 3 and pip (the Python package installer), run pip3 install --user limnoria, and run supybot-wizard. This installs the bot and starts the first-run setup, so you can configure it before using it. source
  • Put Limnoria's commands on your PATH If supybot-wizard says command not found, add $HOME/.local/bin to your PATH so your shell can find the installed program. PATH is the list of folders your terminal checks when you type a command name. source
  • Add plugins with PluginDownloader If you want extra features, load the PluginDownloader plugin first, then use its repolist, info, and install commands to add plugins. Loading it first matters because the add-on commands will not work until it is active. source
