Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Have a Huly account and workspace ready Create a Huly user account and the workspace you plan to use, where the workspace is the team area inside Huly. The API examples sign in with that account, so if it does not exist the connection will be refused. source
- Set Huly URL, login, and workspace Set HULY_URL, HULY_EMAIL, HULY_PASSWORD, and HULY_WORKSPACE before running the examples. These tell the script which Huly server to use and which account to sign in as, and without them it tries localhost and placeholder values and may fail. source
- Make port 8087 reachable If Huly is on another machine, point HULY_URL at that machine and make sure port 8087 is open or forwarded. That is the default port shown in the examples, and the client cannot list issues or create shared spaces if it cannot reach it. source
- System Requirements Use at least 2 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM; lower specs may stop responding or fail. source

Common questions
Which port do the Huly API examples use?
They use port 8087 by default. If Huly is on another machine, point HULY_URL to that machine and open or forward port 8087, otherwise the client cannot list issues or create shared spaces.
Where should I start when self-hosted Huly fails to start or connect?
Use the troubleshooting guide for high-level diagnostic procedures. It covers service startup failures, connectivity problems, and configuration errors.
