Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Create .env with your E2B domain Copy .env.example to .env and set NEXT_PUBLIC_E2B_DOMAIN to your E2B server address, because that's the dashboard's map for where to send requests. Without it, the dashboard can't find the E2B API and may show errors or empty data. source
  • Add E2B_API_KEY for self-hosting If you're self-hosting, put your E2B_API_KEY (a secret access key for E2B) in the environment so the dashboard can authenticate. Missing or wrong key can make the dashboard look broken even though it's running. source
  • Build and start the dashboard Run bun install, bun run build, and bun run start to launch the production dashboard. Bun is the JavaScript runtime this project uses, and the production build is more stable than the dev server. source
  • Unraid first-time setup Create the appdata directory with 'mkdir /mnt/user/appdata/dashboard', then download the default config seed files (apps.json, bookmarks.json, greeter.json, imprint.json, search.json, themes.json) from the data/ folder of the phntxx/dashboard repo into it, and edit the .json files to customise your dashboard. source
