Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Replace the Docker path placeholder If you use Docker (a way to run the app as a self-contained package), replace every <CHANGE_ME_TO_INSTALL_PATH> in docker-compose.yml with a real folder on your machine, such as /opt/mcsmanager. That folder holds your settings, logs, uploads, and game files, so leaving the placeholder or deleting the folder can make the app lose its data. source
- Open panel port 23333 and daemon 24444 The web panel normally uses port 23333, so you can open it in a browser like http://192.168.1.50:23333, while the daemon uses port 24444 to manage game servers. If your home router or firewall blocks these ports, the panel may not load or may not be able to control your servers from other devices. source
- Manual install needs Node.js and both parts If you are installing without Docker, install Node.js first, then start the daemon and web services in two separate command-line windows. Node.js is the program that runs MCSManager, and the web page needs the daemon to actually start, stop, or watch game servers. source
- Connect Daemon to Web Panel After deploying both containers, open the MCSManager-Web panel, go to Nodes, name the node, and enter the daemon's IP address to establish the connection. source

Common questions
How should I configure the Docker data path?
Replace the Docker path placeholder in docker-compose.yml with a real folder on your machine, such as /opt/mcsmanager. That folder stores settings, logs, uploads, and game files, so leaving the placeholder or deleting the folder can make the app lose its data.
Which port does the MCSManager Daemon use?
The Daemon uses port 24444 to manage game servers, while the web panel normally uses port 23333. If your router or firewall blocks these ports, the panel may not load or may not be able to control servers from other devices.
What must I install and start for a manual MCSManager install?
Install Node.js first, then start the daemon and web services in two separate command-line windows. The web page needs the daemon to start, stop, or watch game servers.
Do Minecraft servers run as a non-root user by default?
The panel's default behavior is to run server processes as root. The source thread shows a user asking how to run Minecraft servers without root.
