Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes
- Get a license key before you start Run `cloakbrowser login` or `npx cloakbrowser login` to sign in with GitHub for a free key, or paste a paid key. The key is saved in `~/.cloakbrowser/license.key`, and without a valid key the paid tier or Pro browser binary may not work. source
- Download the browser binary After logging in, run `npx cloakbrowser install` to download the actual browser executable. CloakBrowser can't launch if this binary is missing, so use `npx cloakbrowser info` to confirm it is installed. source
- Use Xvfb for headed mode on a server If you want a visible browser window on a Linux server with no monitor, install Xvfb (a virtual display), start `Xvfb :99`, and set `DISPLAY=:99`. Without it, headed browser mode can fail because there is no physical screen to draw on. source

Common questions
Do I need a license key before using CloakBrowser?
Yes. Run cloakbrowser login or npx cloakbrowser login to sign in with GitHub for a free key, or paste a paid key. Without a valid key, the paid tier or Pro browser binary may not work.
How do I run headed mode on a headless Linux server?
Install Xvfb, start Xvfb :99, and set DISPLAY=:99. Without a virtual display, headed mode can fail because there is no physical screen to draw on.
What flags help when a site uses anti-bot protection?
Use a residential proxy and consider setting geoip true, headless false, and humanize true. Some sites can detect headless even with source-level patches.
Is a Reddit 'blocked by network security' page caused by CloakBrowser detection?
Not necessarily. Reddit's 'blocked by network security' page is described as an IP reputation issue, not a CloakBrowser detection, and is a hard block for datacenter and flagged proxy IPs.
