FiveM is a modification framework for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V that enables single- and multiplayer experiences and lets you host your own dedicated community servers. With the bundled Docker image it automatically downloads and updates the FXServer runtime and required resources, so self-hosters can spin up a fully customized server with custom game modes, resources, and scripting without managing runtime files by hand. A built-in web console in your browser makes ongoing server management straightforward.

Health score?A 0-100 score computed nightly from four factors: maintained (40%: recent commits and steady activity), popular (25%: GitHub stars, log scale), easy to install (20%: platforms, install notes, setup guides, Docker image) and light to run (15%: minimum RAM, ARM support). When the source code has been checked, a fifth factor, security check (20%: automated scan for committed secrets, unsafe desktop-app settings, known-vulnerable dependencies and project hygiene; any serious finding caps it at 20), is added. Factors without data are left out and the rest are rescaled.

First-install notes

  • Add SDK to server.cfg in right order In your FiveM server.cfg, add ensure screenshot-basic and then ensure fmsdk so the screenshot resource starts before the Fivemanage SDK. If fmsdk starts first, the SDK may not load properly and your server logs will not be sent. source
  • Choose what the SDK logs in config Fill in the SDK config.json so you can choose which player, chat, and inventory events are logged, whether to show logs in the console, and whether to send them to the cloud. If this is left at the wrong settings, you can miss useful logs or accidentally record data you do not want to keep. source
  • Keep Lite storage files safe If you are self-hosting Fivemanage Lite, set a strong MinIO password, keep its data on a persistent volume, and check ports 9000 (API) and 9001 (web console) are open when needed. Without persistent storage or the right password, stored files and logs can be lost or the storage service may not start. source
  • Valid server key required Deploying the container requires a valid FiveM server key plus a server name; obtain the key from the FiveM keymaster portal before starting. The image then auto-downloads the FXServer runtime and resources. source
